The second season of Drag Race Holland was announced on February 17, 2021 via Videoland's Instagram. Casting opened that same day with deadline of March 1.
On July 9, 2021, it was announced that the second season would premiere on August 6, 2021, and on July 27, 2021, the 10 queens competing for the title of ‘Next Dutch Drag Race Superstar’ were revealed.
The winner will receive a cash prize of €15,000, a crown and scepter from Fierce Drag Jewels, their own stage at Milkshake Festival 2022 in Amsterdam and a beauty editorial in the Dutch edition of Cosmopolitan.
