Season 6 of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars was officially announced on August 20, 2020 via social media. It was also announced that Untucked for All Stars would return.
In February 2021, it was announced that All Stars 6 would be available on the newly rebranded Paramount+, making it the first season of a United States Drag Race competition to premiere on a streaming platform. The season will be available to stream on WOW Presents Plus outside of the US, excluding Canada and Down Under.
The cast of All Stars 6 was officially announced on May 26, 2021, along with the Werkroom entrances. The promo theme was Sunrise, with the queens wearing orange and yellow, and purple looks.
